The first miracle of 2013 by Dr. Oz is the one everyone is excited about, it’s called Red Palm Oil. Dr. Oz calls it the “stop sign for aging” and says it can fight the aging process, fight belly fat and combat heart disease. It’s sourced from Africa and Southeast Asia from palm trees that produce a red fruit that is then broken down into an organic virgin red palm oil.
Where traditional fats and oils like margarine, or other vegetable oils take a long time to break down for energy and are eventually stored as fat, red palm oil goes straight to liver and ignites metabolism. That means you’ll burn calories from fat much faster.
Why is this red palm tree oil so powerful and good for you? One of the magic ingredients of the oil is carotene that’s a powerful antioxidant found in tomatoes and carrots. If you combine the amount of beta carotene in carrots and tomatoes it still doesn’t match the amount of carotene in red palm oil. The other ingredient in the oil is tocotrienol which is an incredibly powerful form of vitamin E. It’s the tocotrienols in the the red palm oil that increase blood flow to your brain and stops damage done by free radicals. This is where the Alzheimer’s prevention and Dementia fighting properties come from.
There was one interesting moment during the Miracle Products of 2013 episode of Dr. Oz when they displayed at least 15 different oils like Almond Oil, Walnut Oil, Sesame Oil, Sunflower Oil, Pumpkin Seed Oil and more. After displaying all of those oils the Red Palm Oil was displayed to the right and Dr. Oz said, “If you put all these oils together they don’t have the same antioxidant power of this one bottle of Red Palm Oil.”
Dr. Oz and Bryce Wylde show two tablespoons with the fairly thick oil and recommend that is daily dose you would want to consume to start benefiting from red palm fruit oil. While you wouldn’t want to eat the oil directly it’s very popular and easy to cook with.
